Educational Philosophy
At Central Village Childcare Society, we believe that the early years are such an exciting time for our kids to start their journey as lifelong learners. That’s why we’ve created a warm and welcoming community where we encourage children to share their ideas and explore the world around them through fun, hands-on learning experiences.
We’ve taken inspiration from the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches to shape our educational philosophy, focusing on the magic of nature-based play and learning. Our program brings together indoor classrooms and outdoor garden spaces to provide a fantastic and creative learning environment. We’ve put a lot of love and imagination into crafting a nature-filled center that sparks children’s creativity, adventures, and growth.
And most importantly, our philosophy and guiding principles are woven into every part of our center, making it a truly special place for our little ones to thrive.
Our Curriculum
We’re all about sparking children’s natural curiosity and imagination! Our curriculum focuses on letting children take the lead in exploring and learning, aiming to nurture their social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional development. We love using innovative teaching methods to create vibrant learning environments for kids, teachers, and families.
Drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, We’ve also developed a deep understanding of how to create engaging learning experiences rooted in our center’s vision and mission.
In our early learning classrooms, we see every space as a place for learning, where the curriculum is shaped through playful exploration and creative experimentation. And remember, The Central Village Childcare Society isn’t just a space for children – it’s a space created with children, where their voices and ideas truly matter.

Who we are
We are a dedicated group of directors with strong educational backgrounds and extensive experience in the field of childcare. Our team is united by a shared vision to create a childcare environment that nurtures the whole child. We believe in fostering physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through a holistic approach. With our combined expertise and passion, we strive to provide the highest quality care and education for children, ensuring they feel supported, valued, and inspired every day.
Our vision
Active children are better prepared to learn and can develop habits that will last a lifetime there! Our educators encourage children to have at least one hour of active playtime on the playground daily. We have a safe, secure, and child-friendly playground where kids can blast. Here are some of the fun outdoor activities we prepare:
* Organized sports like soccer, basketball, and Ping-Pong.
* Led games such as Simon says, I spy, tag, scavenger hunt, and duck, duck goose.
* Weather-permitted games like catching bubbles, flying kites, spinning hula hoops, drawing with chalk, and gardening.
Speaking of gardening, we’ve got an awesome garden program. We believe that by having a vegetable/herb garden, we can help children learn about healthy foods and the environment. They’ll get to plant, see how vegetables/herbs are grown, and share healthy foods together. Our Garden program aims to create strong connections between what children grow and what they eat.
As Albert Einstein once said, “Play is the highest form of research.” Let’s encourage our kids to play, explore, and learn in the best way possible!e. The thoughtful educators at Central Village Childcare Society encourage children to have at least one-hour of active playtime on our playground every day.
